چکیده

Wound healing remains a clinical problem, with cases of atrophic, hypertrophic, or keloid scars. Three-dimensional scaffolds have been used to restore skin function, facilitating cell migration, adhesion, and proliferation. Collagen is the most common, presenting low antigenicity, decreased inflammation, replacement by autologous tissue. It as sheets/films, sponges, membranes, sprays, hydrogels various origins. This integrative literature review aimed evaluate application unassociated collagen for wound compare them associations nanomaterials polymers. Properties such applications in humans other unconventional models cause burns, partial full-thickness wounds, others. Scaffold, biomaterials, collagen, wound, injury, repair, were among descriptors. We found 3,098 articles published between 1995 2022 (Mendeley platform), including clinical/experimental trials. After exclusion, 26 studies identified analyzed. Autologous heterologous collagens are clinic favor closure improving re-epithelialization reducing inflammation but may present challenges aesthetic acceptance loss repair function site. Furthermore, integration improved experimental models.

Collagen–based scaffolds for skin tissue engineering

The aim of this study was to obtain four collagen based porous scaffolds and to assess their in vitro biocompatibility and biodegradability in order to use them for skin tissue engineering. We have prepared four variants of collagen-based biodegradable sponges by liophilization of type I collagen solution and three variants of collagen-agarose mixture in different ratios 2:1 (A), 1:1 (B) and 1:...

Contribution of bone marrow-derived cells to skin: collagen deposition and wound repair.

The bone marrow provides inflammatory cells and endothelial progenitor cells to healing cutaneous wounds. To further explore the bone marrow contribution to skin and healing wounds, we used a chimeric mouse model in which the bone marrow from enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) transgenic mice is transplanted into normal C57BL mice. We found that normal skin is a target organ for bone mar...

Cell Population Kinetics of Collagen Scaffolds in Ex Vivo Oral Wound Repair

Biodegradable collagen scaffolds are used clinically for oral soft tissue augmentation to support wound healing. This study sought to provide a novel ex vivo model for analyzing healing kinetics and gene expression of primary human gingival fibroblasts (hGF) within collagen scaffolds. Sponge type and gel type scaffolds with and without platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF) were assessed in a...

a comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection

supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

Gene expression changes of collagen І and ІІІ in human skin fibroblast cells in effect of microalga Chlorella vulgaris extract and compared to vitamin C

Skin aging is a biological process that is due to the reduction of collagen production and increase of multiple enzymes, including matrix metalloproteinase (MMPS), which degrade collagen. Chlorella vulgaris is a marine microalga and its beneficial effects on the skin make it a proper ingredient to be used in anti-aging products. In this study, the effect of C. vulgaris extract comparing to vita...
